Practical tools for busy venues

Dishwasher Capacity Finder

Estimate rack demand around peak returns, daily covers and your wash-up workflow.

Plan around your busiest service

Enter your wash-up requirements

Estimate the racks your wash-up area needs at peak, then check a cycle and handling-time scenario. Start with your busiest returns, not just your seating capacity.

Review the planning assumptions

Adjust these starting values to your menu, actual rack packing and wash programme. Separate plate, glass and cutlery loads avoid assuming every item fits the same rack.

How this estimate works

Use the higher of peak covers returning per hour or daily covers divided by available wash-up hours. Convert plates and glasses separately into racks, add cutlery racks per 100 covers and other peak kitchen racks, then apply the buffer and round up. The busiest-day estimate uses daily covers plus kitchen racks per hour multiplied by wash-up hours. Glassware-only mode excludes plates, cutlery and kitchen racks.

Scenario capacity is 3,600 divided by programme seconds plus extra handling or waiting seconds, rounded down. It assumes sequential handling of one rack and is deliberately transparent; overlapping work, recovery and actual staff flow need a site check.

For this planning guide, mixed loads up to 30 racks per hour start with undercounter, 31–60 with pass-through, and higher loads with a high-output layout review. Glass-only loads receive glasswashing guidance. These are shortlist bands, not manufacturer output limits or a guarantee that a format will fit.
